How to solve There are currently no power options available

This error is one of the commonly occurring errors in the Windows operating system. When you click on the Start button and click on the power button. You will see a message that says “There are currently no power options available”. In this blog, I will explain, how to solve this kind of error. Let’s start.

First of all, Click on the Windows button and click on the settings options. You will get a settings screen as shown in Figure 2.

In the settings screen, you can see the update and security options. Click on it. You will get a new screen as shown in Figure 3. Click on the Troubleshoot option, under that tab, you will get the Additional Troubleshooters. Click on it. You will get a power option as shown in Figure 4, when you click on it you will get the Run as Troubleshooter option. Click on it, it will start the troubleshooting. If you get any error, then just follow the instruction given by the system.

This was the first step, now close the windows and go to your search bar and search for the Registry and open it. You will get a new window as shown in Figure 6.

After opening the Registry screen, you need to go to the path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Policies / Explorer and where you need to create a file for DWORD (32-bit) value file as shown in Figure 7. Make sure the value data should be zero as shown in Figure 8.

Once you done all these steps, open the command prompt and run the taskkill /im explorer.exe /f command. When you run this command, Your whole screen will be black as shown in Figure 9. Then run the explorer.exe command. This command will bring your normal screen as shown in Figure 10.

If you have done all the processes that are explained above, then just click on the start button and check the power button. This time you can use your power button. If you are still getting the issue then shut down the laptop, then open and try.
